Luxury Locations in Florence

I usually write about medium and low budget locations for your wedding in Florence or Tuscany but this time I would like to talk about a luxury location few minutes outside Florence.

Yesterday evening with two friends I went to a special event in Castello di Vincigliata to toast a new joint venture between the castle and the UOLL loft in Florence. Two completely different locations who put together their efforts, their will of work together but above all their passion. They create a brand called luxury location .

Because the incredible weather in Florence we could stay in the amazing garden spread of tables and chairs, small sofas and a large open bar where you could have any sort of cocktail, then we walked up to enter the courtyard where a large buffet offered by Galateo displayed all the magnificent of the Tuscan cuisine.

And then, other buffet with excellent wines and a table was only for lobsters!

The beauty of the castle by night is given by thousands of candles spread all over the scallops and the view that you have from up there is unbeatable.

Rendez vous, a romantic restaurant in Elba island

I just came back from  Elba island for a last week end on the beach.

I spent the saturday in Pianosa island, which I am going to talk later and for dinner, my friend wanted to bring me in a restaurant she knew and ate particularly well.

We drove trough the winding roads of Elba island from the gulf of Lacona (we stayed in the same hotel) until the fishermen village of Marciana Marina.

We parked the car and trough a narrow road we reached the promenade where the restaurant is situated, the Rendez vous. It is in front of the sea and this is a very romantic situation, but it is the food the best part. Yes, of course if you are with Mr Right even better, you have the sunset, the cool air but all things  must be put together to an excellent cuisine, good wine and an amazing service. The owner comes to your table and explain all the dishes, he explain every single plate and what to drink, if red or white and if you go to Elba yo have to taste their local wine. Fish is the king of the cuisine but if you don’t like it (like me) they have very good grilled meat!

Nevertheless to say that it could be a good location for your wedding dinner in Elba island.

Winter weddings in Florence

Winter in Florence can be very romantic and special. Florence starts to empty because the season ends at the end of October, therefore having a November, January and February wedding can assure the same service but at lower prices. Did it seem that I missed December? No, I made it on purpose. I love December weddings (I have one this year and I am the one who convinced the bride) for many reasons: Florence sparkles, Xmas is around, people are happier adn friendly, lots of people around, it is not hot at all, BUT, there is a but, even if it is winter we consider it a high season, not as high as July, maybe but still high season especially around the 8th of December when it is bank holiday in Italy or around Xmas and of course New Years Eve.

As because not so many people decide to get married in winter it is very easy to find the date of your dream in the sala Rossa of the Florence town and you don’t have to fight with other brides about a certain time or date. Certainly if you want to go ahead for a December wedding you must fast in booking. You can be more relaxed in planning if you want other winter months. Locations as well are less expensive and they can make good prices just because they work less in that period.

A british couple – Casamento em Florença

“What made the difference in this wedding were the prople” told me the bride at the after wedding party in one of the nicest club in Florence.

She wrote to me last March because she wanted to set up the wedding on September 17th and she wanted to be the last for that day. We made it. She got the date and the time she wanted and asoon as we met in an amazing April day in Florence and sat with a glass of white wine in the historical cafè of Rivoire, we know that it was a nice match.

They were such an amazing couple to work with and the several emails we exchanged help her to arrange her weddings as she  wanted to be.  I arranged the wedding at the sala Rossa, the flowers and support with hairdresser, make up, taxis and after dinner wedding party.

It was such a beautiful and warm day in Florence, they were so happy and when you have your close family and friends, you have everything: you don’t need much.

I know that I have new friends now in the UK …

“O que fez a diferença neste casamento foram os prople” me disse a noiva na festa de casamento depois de um dos mais bonitos do clube de Florença.

Ela me escreveu em março passado, porque ela queria montar o casamento em 17 de setembro e ela queria ser o último para aquele dia. Nós fizemos isso. Ela tem a data ea hora que queria e asoon como nos encontramos em um dia de Abril incrível em Florença e sentou-se com um copo de vinho branco no café histórico de Rivoire, sabemos que foi um jogo agradável.

Eles eram um casal incrível de trabalhar e os vários e-mails que trocamos ajudá-la a organizar seus casamentos como ela queria ser. Eu organizei o casamento na sala Rossa, as flores e de apoio com cabeleireiro, maquiagem, táxis e depois da festa de casamento jantar.

Foi um dia tão bonito e quente em Florença, eles estavam tão felizes e quando você tem sua família e amigos mais próximos, você tem de tudo: você não precisa de muito.

Eu sei que tenho amigos novos agora no Reino Unido …

 

 

Wedding planner for a day – Planejador do casamento por um dia no campo da Toscana

Do you want to come to Florence or Tuscany to get married but you want to organize yourself BUT you want also some help from a wedding planner, I can do that!

I did it last sunday with a young couple who wanted to get married civilly but in a garden. I found the location, found music for both ceremony and afterwards and I stayed with them all the wedding time just to make sure everything was fine.

Eu fiz isso no último domingo com um jovem casal que queria se casar civilmente, mas em um jardim. Eu encontrei o local, encontrou a música, tanto para cerimônia e, depois, e fiquei com eles o tempo todo casamento só para ter certeza que estava tudo bem.
