A wedding with a view on Florence

She was a small, sweet woman with a smiley face, he was very sweet too and you could tell they were deeply in love with each other. Surrounded only by few memebers of family and friends they did a symbolic ceremony in front of Florence, litterally!

Why you should consider a winter wedding in Florence

I know everyone wants a summer wedding: nice weather, swimming pool, colors etc…BUT you know that, especially, in these years, the weather has been bad in summer too therefore we cannot aboslutely predict if your summer wedding will be a real summer wedding! Plan A or plan B? That’s always the question when picking a venue.

In winter this is a problem that it is not contemplated. Simply because it exists only a plan,  inside, without a but or a if.

Some of my favourite locations (like the two pictures here) only accept winter events, that is low season means less expensive.

I know also that most of us have summer holidays but a great escape could be having the wedding in your bank holidays (Thanksgiving, for example, Xmas/NewYear Eve vacations, bank holidays or simply a low cost week end in January or February).

Is it cold? Well considering that it is winter, it might be,  but we have lots of ways to keep warm: wool blankets for the guests, hundreds of candles, the heat is on, and our faboulous Chianti red wine will help, I am sure.

Another beautiful location I love, certanly perfect for a winter wedding stands very close to the city centre of Florence. This place I have always thought that is was nicer in winter than in summer, simply because the garden which surrounds the building does not belong to the greenhouse therefore it is not possible to use it.

Last but least (Oh no, at all!) is the Conventino, a once church now turned in a location with a stage – once the altar sites- where after the dinner the band will lead you to the first dance and then into the wild.

Romantic elopement in Florence

It was a fine, warm, but not umberable, July day and a beautiful couple (like all my couples are) decided to elope in Florence.

Lots of laughs, with all my crew, like you can see from the pictures done by Camille Cheade for Alessandro Giannini and lots of love, always

Late spring wedding with a view

The wedding of this lovely and beautiful couple was in June and it seems so far away…we were discussing with the bride not so long ago (and yes I like to keep in touch with my brides).

They married in a huge church of the city centre few steps from Palazzo Vecchio

The cocktail and dinner was done on the terrace of the Grand Hotel Baglioni.

A front sea may wedding

So long ago since last time I wrote here but it was a very full summer, events, weddings….I just want to share with you my latest ones, now that I have some time off (my last wedding of the season will be in ten days).

This beautiful couple decided to tie the knot in Castiglioncello, a charming sea resort south of Livorno where I personally have fond memories of some summers I spent there as a teenager.

I don’t want to say much, only leave the images talk from the website of the very talented Gabi Alves, a brazilian photographer based in Paris.

Trends palette for 2016 weddings

If you decided to get married in 2016 you certanly start to think about your predominant color.

If in 2015 the main fashion color was marsala in all its declinations, for 2016 is light blu, tiffany or acqua dell’Elba light green, mixed with other colours. I personally love a lot the combination with a “warmer”color such as orange, like in the examples taken from pinterest. I found it perfect for a beach wedding .

Another amazing combination is mint green

You can mix with white or light pink or brown

But as I said, marsala was the king color , I think that we will see othe marsala theme weddings next years: my favourite is the colour mixed with grey or pink, very elegant and sophiticated.
